artist's statement

Two obliquely aligned monoliths lean heavily, and appear to be upheld by an absent square structural beam that horizontally and perfectly penetrates through both stones.

The stones are planed flat and smooth on their outer sides while their inner sides demonstrate the infinite complexity of the stone’s true nature.

The work may suggest the pressing down of the subjective by rational forces that are upheld by a value beam that is pure, immaterial and beyond measure.
