artist statement

The work consisted simply of blackening the exposed plumbing network beneath the ceiling and certain I-beam and concrete planes and edges, towards a compositional resolution.

It is objectively titled in accordance with the Factory 49 naming system - simply the 22nd work to have taken shape there.

As a site specific proposition it takes its form and title entirely by the givens of the site, that is building and Gallery respectively.
